So, Steve’s Sprinter has not had a drastic change……. yet. After all the issues with the turbo setup, Steve decided to run a more basic setup and considerable less electronics.

So out came the Turbo

And Inlet manifold. This 4A has big ports, which look around 50% larger than the standard ports.

Removing the turbo parts was quick, with the task only taking a bit over 1 hour.

These carbies are from another engine Steve had bought earlier this year.

The fuel system was also down graded.

With the turbo setup now removed, it was onto installing the Carby setup.

Steve is using welsh plugs to plug up the injector holes.

The other engine runs normal sized ports, so the inlet manifold needed to be switched.

The carby gaskets are made with rubber due to the amount of vibration they produce.

Most of this wiring can be removed with this setup.

Unfortunately, this is as far as we could go as more parts are required to complete the conversion. Next update coming soon.
