Harajuku

Today was another free day, so we decided to check out a place in Tokyo called Harajuku.

Harajuku is shopping area that mainly caters for the not so main stream fashion. As well as fashion stores, there are toy shops and book shops.

There are a bunch of cos-play type fashion stores, basically clothes that you might see in a Anime or Manga.

Unfortunately when we went it, the street was very quiet and we didn’t get a chance to see any people wearing the gear.

Another place we went to was Kiddy Land. It does sound kind of suspicious but it’s just a giant kids toy store, much like Toy’R’Us. The shop is several stories and each floor has a theme like Snoopy or Hello Kitty.

Rob wanted to buy a Engrish shirt, but we couldn’t figure out if this was a girls shirt or a tough mans shirt.

We dropped buy a second hand clothes store and saw these items:

If your in Tokyo and have a couple of hours free, Harajuku is definitely an interesting place to check out!
